Besides the acquisition cost of a Savannah, there are many other elements to consider beforehand. We must remember that the Savannah is a very energetic cat!
So we like to find them homes where the owners will be available to play with them, stimulate them and give them all the attention they demand. Active owners are required! Don’t forget that a Savannah, once trained, enjoys taking walks on a leash, play in the water and jump ever and ever higher! That’s what makes them so special! Therefore, they need lots of space to play and you must be willing to remove some of your more decorative items…
Family makeup also plays a role. Should you have very young children, for example, that could be somewhat abrupt, we can never predict how the animal will react, whatever its breed.
You’ll need to take an active part in caring for your Savannah, making sure it socializes, to ensure it grows to become a cat that’s nice to be around.
It’s important to think all these things through before making a purchasing decision. In the end, we want to make sure our kittens will find homes well suited to their needs. It’s for this reason that one of our primary considerations will be to know a little more about your family and situation.

Here are some general rules which will govern our agreement if you buy a Savannah from MyAFricattery:
- A clearly written contract spelling our commitments and recommendations
- A deposit worth 50% of the total cost to be required at reservation time
- The balance will be required upon the kitten’s departure from the cattery
- The kitten will typically leave at approximately 3 months of age
- It will have been examined by a veterinarian, and will have received standard vaccines and be neutered
- You will receive its registration from the Canadian Cat Association
- You will also get a small pouch of food as well as its favorite toy!
My Africattery produces F3 to F6 Savannahs. The price of a kitten will vary according to its gender and attributes. You can expect to pay around:
F3: 3500$ – 4000$ CAD
F4: 2000$ – 3000$ CAD
F5-F6 and SBT: 1500$ – 2000$ CAD
